Landlord Requirements performed by Thomas Connelly Plumbing and Heating

Gas Safety Testing

All gas appliances must be serviced and tested every year. These regulations have been in force since 1994. During the test we ensure that all appliances are not leaking harmful gases and are working correctly, and most importantly, are safe to use.

Plumbing

General plumbing is one of the core services that Thomas Connelly Plumbing and Heating has been offering for more than 30 years.

Whether it's replacing a tap washer or completely refitting a bathroom we promise our customers the same high standard of service that our reputation has been built on for over a quarter of a century.

And once the job is completed to your satisfaction, not only will our plumbers clean up after themselves, but they won't leave you with piles of rubbish and packaging to dispose of after the job is completed.

Our engineers are fully qualified and experienced in all types of domestic plumbing. We also offer a full management service including tiling, wall and ceiling cladding and electrics.

Solar Powered Hot Water Systems

Renewable energy is something our firm strongly believes in and is becoming more common in domestic dwellings throughout the North East. The cheapest form of renewable energy is solar powered hot water systems, in which our firm has accreditation to install.

Solar water heating systems use solar panels, called collectors, fitted to your roof. These collect heat from the sun and use it to warm water which is stored in a hot water cylinder.

There are two types of solar water heating panels, they are evacuated tubes and flat plate collectors. Flat plates collectors can be fixed on the roof tiles or integrated into the roof.

Solar power can not be the only heat source. A boiler or immersion heater is needed to back up the cylinder, mainly in winter months or cloudy days when there is less sun. The cylinder must be heated up to 60°C each day to prevent Legionella disease
